WCB Claim for Head Injury

We received a question recently from an employer dealing with a WCB claim related to a head injury. In this case, the employer’s worker suffers persistent emotional difficulties and issues with impulse control since the accident. Rather amazingly, the injured worker is also experiencing another strange side-effect: greatly improved memory.

Blue Collar helps employers accommodate any injury or illness, including complicated mild traumatic brain injuries (MTBIs). The goal is to return disabled workers to their date-of-accident position via modified duties that include changes and/or restrictions to regular job duties.

The side-effects of said worker’s MTBI are reminiscent of another extraordinary case. The video below tells of an ordinary young man who developed superhuman abilities after being struck on the head. Following his severe concussion, Jason Padgett quit his day job selling mattresses and began teaching quantum mechanics at MIT. His remarkable story is currently being adapted into a major motion picture.
